Talmud is a work on what literary work?

The Talmud is a collection of rabbinical discussions and debates pertaining to Jewish Law , customs, ethics, and history. It is made up of the Mishnah and the Gemara (which is a commentary on the Mishnah). There is the Jerusalem Talmud and the Babylonian Talmud.
