RE:Is censorship ever justified?
I don't think that censorship is justified. Ideas don't can threaten a nation but often bring about much needed changes to the country. Government or society shouldn't be able to dictate what is available to the public for the reason that it isn't the government's job to protect our minds from what we might see or hear. That is a parent's job and usually we encounter something that they tried to protect us from later in life anyways. Books can be weapons against the status quo that needs to be changed. What is offensive and what is not offensive is a matter of opinion and perspective, so the word offensive itself isn't specific to any certain material. No one person can define the word offensive for all people because it is never the same. All material should be available to the public because what's offensive is a matter of opinion and the government shouldn't be able to limit what our minds can access. Hope this helps :)
