Help with my cats medicine?

I am trying to give my cat medicine orally through a syringe but she sort of slobbers at least some of it back out by foaming profusely at the mouth. How can I make it go down? I have been trying to keep her head tilted by that doesn't really help. How can I get the back of the mouth?
