Would you date someone with a history of cheating, and would you stay if they cheated on you?

how do you know if someone cheated before dating him/her? people can lie, some of them do change and hope for a second chance. I believe only the current relationship counts. so long as the guy doesn't cheat while dating you, he is ok.
